FluenTea uses the service providers below to deliver its product. Each
entry gives the provider, what it is used for, the personal data involved and
where it operates. Institutions are told in advance before a new provider
starts handling their data, and can object under their agreement with us.
All providers operate in the United States unless stated otherwise.
Hosting and delivery
Google Cloud Platform (Google LLC). Hosting,
database and file storage, including recordings. Holds all data stored
in FluenTea. Region us-central1, Iowa, United States.
Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc.). Delivery and
protection of the website and web application. IP address and request
information. Global network, United States company.
Calls and speech
LiveKit (LiveKit, Inc.). Video and audio calls.
Live call audio and video, and call identifiers.
Deepgram (Deepgram, Inc.). Speech-to-text for
calls. Call audio.
OpenAI (OpenAI, L.L.C.). Speech-to-text for some
recorded audio. The audio of that recording.
Google Cloud Text-to-Speech (Google LLC). Spoken
audio for ChaCha and for lessons. The text to be spoken.
AI
Google Gemini (Google LLC). ChaCha's coaching and
conversation, lesson content and learner feedback. Conversation text or
audio, and the learner's first name.
Anthropic Claude (Anthropic PBC). Used by our team
when reviewing session transcripts for quality and product improvement.
Transcript excerpts selected by a FluenTea team member. Data from a
school or company account is included only with that institution's
written agreement.
Session transcripts from a school or company account are not used to
train AI models unless that institution agrees in writing.
Payments
Stripe (Stripe, Inc.). Payments on the web. Name,
email address and payment details. FluenTea never sees or stores a card
number.
RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc.). Subscription status
for purchases made in the mobile apps. FluenTea user identifier and
purchase details.
Google Play (Google LLC) and the
Apple App Store (Apple Inc.). Payment for in-app
purchases, under each store's own terms.
Email and notifications
SendGrid (Twilio Inc.). Email, such as
verification, password reset and notifications. Email address, name and
message content.
Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google LLC). Push
notifications to the mobile apps. Device token and notification
text.
Product analytics
Google Analytics, through Google Tag Manager
(Google LLC). Page and event analytics, only with analytics
consent.
Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Corporation). Usage
analytics, only with analytics consent. Text and typed input inside the
signed-in application are masked.
GrowthBook (Growth Book, Inc.). Feature testing,
based on a random browser identifier rather than an account.
FluenTea uses no advertising services.
Support and safety
Slack (Slack Technologies, LLC, a Salesforce
company). Internal alerts for our support and safety team. Username and
email address of an account involved in a report.
